Walking through lower Manhattan a few weeks ago I couldn’t help but notice the Safer America shop a block from the WTC site. One of their “killer” products is the “Evacuchute” (pictured above) – a portable, lightweight parachute for escaping collapsing skyscrapers. More of their products are here, including gov’t issue “NO-RAD” Potassium iodide pills to block radiation poisoning – nice. So my question is: Does all this stuff really make America safer? Or just more paranoid?
