Those crazy kids at Blast Theory are up to more wireless gaming antics. During their residency in Adelaide, Australia the group has come up with the “world’s first mixed reality game on 3G-enabled mobile phones”. I Like Frank is the name of the project where players attempt to communicate and chase a virtual character named Frank around the streets of Adelaide. This makes sense as Adelaide is the first completely wireless city in Australia with a meshwork of wireless access points that blanket the entire city centre. “I Like Frank” might even work with 802.11g equipped mobile deivices, or phones with the technology built in… who knows. Still a cool idea and good to see more pervasive titles stocking up the shelves.
