Is it just me, or is the new Beastie Boys album wanna-be political?. I don’t remember these doods rapping about politics before, but with lyrics like “We’ve got a president we didn’t elect/ The Kyoto Treaty he decided to neglect,” on their new record, I’m beginning to wonder if these 3 Brooklyners are planning to go Bono’s route. I wonder if we’ll see them at the next WTO event rapping about AIDS clinics in South Africa. That will be the day!
