I love it when people find ways around prize giveaways! Jesse Perry’s iTunes Countdown for Mac and PC sticks a counter in the menu bar showing how many iTunes songs left until they sell 100 million tracks. Apple is giving away 50 iPods to the purchaser of each 100 millionth song downloaded between 95 million and 100 million songs. With Perry’s new app, not only can you see the songs being bought in real-time, you can also be alerted when the count nears 100 million and start purchasing! Very cool (and sneaky) way to get a nice prize.
