Today I had speaker prep for my panel tomorrow and met the other panelists. Should go well.. Also, today was Kaki’s panel on “Extreme Fashion” with Maggie Orth, Thad Starner, Elise Co, and Jenny Tillotson. Pretty interesting discussion from the topics brought up in the talks. Afterwards we stuck around for the CyberFashion Show (picture above of the host) which was pretty much insane – reminded me of the dance party scene in Zion in Matrix ReLoaded – lots of people in ripped up clothing and LEDs stuck on their heads – even a few of them with no clothing at all. Not the best experience I’ve had, but I guess you learn something new each day… More to come…
Aww Jonah…. sorry you didn’t like the show. I thought it was AWESOME, with more couture items than ever!
And the “ripped up” skirt from the DIY Wearables workshop was one of my favorites!! Thanks to you and Katherine for doing that! It was so much in the real spirit of SIGGRAPH, which is what ISA tries to accomplish in the Fashion Show.
Thanks – we had fun with the workshop…. I guess I wasn’t expecting “cyber” to mean “stoneage” but everyone’s entitled to their own interpretation…
