I really like it when simplicity meets utter complexity to the point where it becomes completely ridiculous. This is the case with Massively Multi-Player Pong an insane, online version of the 70s hit game that allows an infinite number of people to control pong mallets in a browser. A physical version of the same thing called Audience Participation was done by Loren Carpenter back in 1991 where people were given colored mallets (picture above) and cameras tracked their colors to determine where the pong paddle went on the screen. Not sure what is happening with the networked version, but I couldn’t seem to get anywhere with it… hmm.
