Roger Ibars, who recently graduated from the RCA’s Interaction Design program, is doing some interesting work. The above project, called “Hardwired Devices”, repurposes 8-bit Nintendo Light guns by wiring them up to a digital alarm clock. Change the settings by firing away! He also has a 70s joystick controlling a smaller clock (see photos section). His next line (or so he told me a few weeks ago) was to hook up a controller to domestic appliances like washing machines! Now that might make doing laundry less monotonous.
