Found amidst the wave of celebration for high technology and the increasingly global mediascape, these works represent an alternative stream of innovation in the gray area where art and science intersect. ” A nice mix of work, especially Kan Xuan’s robotic garbage can (pictured) which sings and dances. Other projects include Rania Ho‘s interactive sculpture made from forgotten toys of the 70’s (go Rania!), and Angie Waller’s hairy 3D animations. Good to see more DIY type shows happening and I wonder if the garbage can is anything like Oscar the Grouch?
