Next time you get lost, you can “feel” your way home. The ActiveBelt, tracks your position with GPS, and directs you to your destination with 8 motors embedded into it around your torso. So if you get buzzed in your butt, you have to turn around and walk the other way! Pretty simple implementation but I wonder if it really works? Would be pretty cool if it also monitored your Galvanic Skin Response and directed you to the nearest therapist if you started getting anxious or the nearest McDonalds if your blood sugar was low. Better yet, this project reminds me of Doctor Octopus, where if the belt motors had their own A.I. they would command and control you to rob banks, raid convenience stores, and run after celebrities. Ok I’m getting ahead of myself now.
