They are filming Superman Returns now in Sydney. The scheduled release date for the flick is June 30, 2006 and it’s directed by none other than the superhero movie xpert, Bryan Singer (who directed all the Xmen movies). Brandon Routh plays Superman and Kevin Spacey is Lex Luther! nice… Singer has a video blog of the “making of” the movie – here’s the opening one of him introducing things and some photos of the filming in Australia. So as the Fantastic Four movie hits the screen this July, I guess superhero flicks will never die out.. Superman looks to be fun, esp since now that special efx have gotten so good, this version should make the old ones with Christopher Reeve look like Team America….
