We went to the Library of Congress today and checked out the audio tour. In this case you use your own cell phone – just call a local phone number and punch in numbers when you get to the different exhibit areas. Pretty cool that they are using people’s phones for this, the “rent-an-audio-tour” devices are usually all broken and messed up so its good that these tours have finally migrated over to personal devices. Hopefully we will see this happen more with future exhibits in other, bigger museums in order to allow for more people to access them (since cell phones are pretty much ubiquitous these days) and for them to be more customized as well.
