Katherine and I just got back from Murcia, Spain where we were commissioned artists for the SOS4.8 Festival on Art and Sustainable Design. Plus it was a giant music event/festival that drew a few thousand people to the shows. We built a “Trashbotic Musical Orchestra” from old turntables, telephones, and other various found or discarded devices. Some pics below of the objects we built.

“Sonic Clacker” – built from an old record player cover and an array of solenoids responding to users approaching it – built in 2 hours.

“Old Phone Hammer” – built from a vintage telephone in .5 hours.

“PhonoPhone Beat Machines”, built from old record players and phones in 2 hours.
