Katherine and I are running 2 Scrapyard Challenge workshops in Ireland in August! The first one is on August 15th at Ormeau Baths Gallery and coincides with their exhibition for ISEA 2009. There might be spaces still available if you are interested in taking the workshop. Please contact the gallery for details. The other workshop (in collaboration with Ben Gaulon) is called “Scrapyard Challenge meets E-Waste Workshops” and is on August 22nd at the Irish Museum for Contemporary Art’s “ReFunct” event. Details on the ReFunct Event are here but more will come soon. The second workshop is now closed and full! Thanks to all who signed up for it!
I will also be exhibiting my Alerting Infrastructure! project at ReFunct! You will be able to trigger it by visiting the IMOCA website. I will give a talk about my work, along with Katherine Moriwaki at DATA Event 36! Details on this event are here – please come out!
This is extra special for me since I co-founded DATA in 2002 with Nicky Gogan, so it will be great to be back in Dublin for a DATA event since we left in 2005.
