A Custom built Wireless joystick

Blue Joystick is a Radio Frequency joystick device that communicates to a computer wirelessly.

The story behind this project is simple – I went on a trip to Japan and got some cool joystick parts from old school video game machines and I wanted to build a nice housing for the joystick and buttons. So I bought some blue transparent plexiglass and metal braces and put the whole thing together.

The joystick worked with basic I/O inputs to a Basic Stamp II. There are 8 directions as with most joysticks and then there are two trigger buttons on the top. All signals are sent to an RF serial transmitter which then relays the information back to the computer.
